The fake devotion--Keep resilient

Updated:
Edit page

Actually, I got ill recently about 2 days, and this almost ruined my daily routine. But here are 2 things to think about.

Why I felt ashamed to be empty and self-drown?

If this is on my vacation, I won’t feel that way, maybe just a reminder of “Don’t do that again”, but when I’m in school time, all I feel is limitless ashamed and regret.

So here are the different levels of being resilient:

Actually, I have my devotion: the pure math. But however, every time when I want to have rest, the first thing popped in my mind is scrolling and watching funny videos.

And this process has become more and more fixed and it has turned from a choice to a solid procedure. Generally forming a bad habit, I need to change this bad cycle.

Keeping deeper and text-forming readings.

The only reason why we drowning into things like that is because short video often makes us excited for a specific point:

I expect to see this.

You have already know what you gonna get, but you still want to wait for this, for some trends. So actually, what you need is not to solve the problem of “how to restrict screen time” directly, but on “how to organize my day more on deep and focusing hours?”

Here are some of my ideas:

  1. Set up time recording often, if you find yourself spending time stuck on some specific area with no effective progress, change your work!
  2. Fixing good habit cycles: turning more time on reading articles, journals, and more things that you are interested in more.
  3. Be strict to yourself(myself…) every time you think: it doesn’t matter if I just…: then this is where the shame starts, you will fall limitless bad cycles.

And we can also see some main disadvantages of scrolling, that’s why I say “FAKE DEVOTION”

I have something in love, but I can’t control myself in short videos

Errr, then that’s not exactly what you love, and shorts will decrease your love little by little.
